I’m so excited to get started on this, the film trailer looked incredible however I’m reluctant to watch the film until I’ve read the book. As usual I will post a full review as soon as I’m done.

Happy reading fellow bookworms.

Why I’m Currently Reading…

I thought it was about time that I updated you on what I’m currently reading. At the moment I have a few books on the go, which isn’t something I usually do but I got a little back log of stuff to work through for review purposes. One of them came from a brilliant website called Library Thing, this website allows people to sign up and request review copies of books on a monthly basis. I know there are some book lovers amongst you who may think this sounds too good to be true, but all they ask in return is for a book review, of the book, for their website.

I’ve been lucky enough to bag not one, but two books since joining last month, so I’m currently reading.

Wishes and Sorrows by Cindy Lynn Speers

I’ve also just been informed that I have won a review copy of Amanda Reynolds new novel ‘When You and Me Were Us’ – so I’m sure you will see this pop up in one of my ‘Currently Reading’ posts soon. I’m also working through:

The Penguin Book of Witches by Katherine Howe

I received this from Penguin Books and was originally going to review it for Belle About Town but they wasn’t sure that it was 100% right for the readership, so I’ll be reviewing it for my book blog now instead.

And as if that isn’t enough, I’m also working through this:

Possession by A.S. Byatt

41219

and

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks

So don’t be surprised if in a week or so you’re inundated with book reviews, which I will be posting as and when I finish each book. Some of them are more convenient to read on my commute, whereas Wishes and Sorrows and Possession are easier to read in my spare time at home.

Until next time, happy reading fellow bookworms.

Technology (my forgetful brain) let me down so…Currently Reading.

I had something of a nightmare after my last post, in which I displayed the next book I would be reading on my Kindle. My Kindle ran out of life juice and I couldn’t find my charger. As the battery lasts so long, I rarely charge it and I could not seem to remember where I last had it. A thorough search of the house at midnight (yes midnight) didn’t turn anything up; so when I awoke the day after I was somewhat flailing around as I didn’t have anything to keep me entertained on my 1 hour+ commute to work, so I just randomly plucked this off the shelf.

Paper Towns by John Green.

Having read The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska, I am familiar with his work and appreciate it, so I can’t wait to get into this one. As usual my fellow bibliophiles, I will post a full review upon completion. Watch this space!

Happy Friday!

Perhaps it’s quite apt that this one came out of the TBR Jar with it being October and the lead up to Halloween.

Witch Hunt by Syd Moore.

Sometimes I think the book loving Gods are looking down on me. I was hoping to get something to read on my Kindle as it’s much lighter and convenient to carry around on my long commute to work every day, so I was happy when this came out of my TBR Jar.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

I’ve heard so many good things about this, and I really enjoyed Sharp Objects, so I hope this lives up to the hype it has received. As usual I will post a full review when I am done, keep your eyes peeled.

Until then, happy reading! And remember, it’s ok to have more books than shoes!

So the next book out of the TBR jar is;

The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am a fan of Jane Austen’s work so I am really quite excited to give this a read. Keep your eyes peeled and as usual I will post a review when I’m done.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday, happy reading fellow bookworms.

This one came out of the TBR jar the other day, it’s a book I’ve often heard a lot about but have not had the opportunity to read…Until now.

A friend of mine said it’s one of the most bizarre books he has ever read, as usual, only time will tell.

The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks.

I’ll post a full review as soon as I’m done.

Happy reading fellow bookworms.
